The Banker Cemetery services the South Branch and Henderson Townships.

1) Vaults or cement rough boxes will be used for all burials.
2) No trees or shrubs shall be planted on any lot without the approval of the Sexton. Only dwarf varieties will be considered and must be kept pruned and tended by the lot owner.
3) All artificial flowers must be placed in a container before being placed on graves or they will be trashed. Small artificial styrofoam flower arrangements on three prong stands will no longer be allowed. Artificial flowers will be removed in the spring.
4) Water may be used for watering shrubs and flowers only. Whole lots may not be sprinkled, even in dry weather.
5) No cement curbing or gravel is to be used on graves.
6) All markers or memorials must be made of stone or other equally durable composition and must be located upon a suitable foundation to maintain the same in an erect position. Veteran’s markers or medallions should be affixed to a privately purchased headstone, as requested by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs. However, if this is not possible, markers can be placed at the foot of the grave with or without a foundation. The marker must be flush with the ground and will be placed by the Association at a cost to the owner of the gravesite. Medallions can be placed only on the headstone.
7) Footings or foundations for any monument, marker or memorial must be flush at the ground level and extend 4 inches beyond the base of the marker and will be constructed by the Association at cost to the owner of the burial site. Footings or foundations for statues, urns, etc. must be approved and constructed by the Association at
the cost to the owner of the burial site.
8) Owners will be expected to assume the responsibility for any repairs to headstones or footings, or the Sexton will perform the necessary repair and the owner will be billed accordingly.
9) Lots can be reserved for residents of either Henderson or South Branch Townships at $50 per gravesite.
10) Lots to non-resident property owners will be sold on the basis of current prices in line with the public cemetery in Cadillac.
11) Winter rates will apply November 15th – April 15th for opening graves.
12) 5 MPH speed limit in cemetery.
13) No vehicles driving in cemetery December 1st – April 1st.
14) No ashes are to be strewn on the surface of the cemetery.
15) Not less than 36 hours notice shall be given in advance of any time of any funeral, to allow for the opening of the burial spaces.
16) No burial spaces shall be opened or closed except under the direction and control of the grave digger, who will also oversee all burials.
17) Garbage removal is the responsibility of the lot owners. All refuse is to be taken home for disposal. Sand and gravel from urns can be emptied on the sand pile in the cemetery.
